Wet n Wild Mega Last Lipstick Faves

Camera flash on.

I absolutely love Wet 'n Wild's Mega Last Lip Color range. The range is matte, but more creamy than
the typical matte lipstick so it's not drying. There's no flaking or feathering, which is really great. True to it's name, it's really long wearing. I love Mac's matte lipsticks, but Wet 'n Wild's staying power and pigment is just as great on me. The best part is that these lipsticks cost only R44, and are sold at selected Clicks stores. There is quite an extensive range of colours, but here are my current favourites:

Mauve Outta Here

True to it's name, this is a nice purplish pink shade. It's really pretty on me, will suit all skin tones and is great for everyday wear.

Just Peachy

In search of the perfect peach lipstick, I was really excited to find this one. It's a little more pink on me (see here) but I like it nonetheless. This one goes on creamier than the typical matte lipstick, and shows cracks and chapped lips more since it's a lighter shade. It's great for fair to medium skin tones, but works on darker skin for a more dramatic look.

Bare It All

This is a great shade! It's a great nude (or neutral), and will definitely work on most skin tones because it's not stark. I almost want to compare it to a Mac or Smashbox shade, but I can't say without doubt so I'll hold my tongue!

Sugar Plum Fairy

Though I don't have Mac's Rebel, I can say that this shade is a good dupe (I've read many reviews and I'm convinced!) It's a great plum shade and will suite all skin tones. It's also a great shade come Summer or Winter. Everyone needs this lipstick!

Cherry Bomb

I've tried and tested this one as a dupe for Mac's Diva (and Riri Talk the Talk!)- and it's practically the same. Same burgundy shade. Both matte. Both super long wearing, and leaves a stain on the lips. I wear Diva quite often, especially in Winter, and this one will be in rotation too.

The one thing I do hate about these lipsticks is the packaging. The lipstick doesn't retract into the casing completely, so you have to be careful when handling the cap. Overall, it's a great range, and I'll buy it over and over again. Below are swatches of each lipstick, beginning with Mauve Outta Here, from left to right.

Have you tried this range? What are your thoughts? Leave a comment or tweet me - I'd love to hear.
