Bold Blue

I wore this to the Pure Preview recently. I love the boxy shape of this dress. It's beautiful, in it's simplicity - it's also easy to dress up or down. I stuck to a neautral palette and added these bold blue tights - because I like to colour outside the lines, you know :)

Aqua

Jeans: Topshop; Top: Piccadilly; Jacket: Pure; Shoes: Zara
Bag: Blackcherry; Neckpiece: Mr Price; Sunglasses: YDE

I built this look around the bag. I'm dreaming of Summer, and this bag brings it a little closer. For a relaxed look, I wore mom jeans and tied it all together with different pieces of the same palette.

Pure Preview

Pure Clothing hosted an intimate Blogger's Preview last week Friday. It was great to see what's new (and of course shop the new range!). It was also a great morning of lady talk (and lots of laughs - you girls are so real, and I loved getting to know you!).

Pure is locally designed and produced, based in Cape Town (Shop 3, Langverwacht Centre, Langverwacht Road, Kuilsriver). They host pop ups in Joburg every month at most. If you're interested, the next one will be towards the end of August - look out for details.

Candy Floss

Jeans: Mr  Price; Shirt: Vintage; Jacket: Xogo
Shoes & Bag: Zara; Sunglasses: Forever New; Neckpiece: Foschini

This pink look is all about the shoes, obviously. I loved them when I first saw them, and had to have them. In fact, they were the last pair in store - and they were my size. You'd think I'd know it's absolutely meant to be but no... I actually put it down for a minute. And it was gone the next.
I walked around the store, eyes searching. Eventually I found it, next to a few other items and the shopper was right there. I felt like saying, "those are my shoes". Instead, I hovered over it, hoping she'd leave the shoes. I even contemplated taking it while she wasn't looking. Ha! But could you imagine, she picked up her stuff and walked away?!
And the shoes were left behind.

It must have been a mistake - how could she not want these shoes? I didn't object, duh. I almost heard angels singing. My hands literally shook as I picked up my candy floss shoes.
And that's a true story.

Easy

Jeans: Mr Price; Top & Glasses: YDE; Shoes: Legit
Bag: Blackcherry Handbags; Scarf: Woolworths; Earrings: Gifted

I've spoken before about formulas. It's the best thing to establish your personal style, and what works for your body (or, what you like for your body - forget the rules) - and create a formula. It  makes getting dressed simpler, because you know what works.

This outfit is a good example of that. I've worn versions of this look many times (and I wore these exact pieces for a different look, here). It's awesome when I'm in a hurry, like Sunday morning when I woke up with a poepoog (hence the glasses), had to get Isaiah ready for church, and didn't have time to fuss about an outfit. But who am I kidding, I'm always in a rush (read: late) - I always need a formula!

Sneak Peek: Closet

There are still a few small things we need to do before it's complete (then the constant styling and reworking begins!), but I'm so pleased with the closet progress. We were fortunate enough to have bought a house with a huge master bedroom, so we made most of it the closet, ha!

It's a his & hers space, with a wall about 5 meters each. Here are my favourite elements of the space:

We got an ottoman for the shoe area - perfect for putting on your shoes - I just sit there and look at my shoes!

This is the shoe closet. My happy place, of course. Only heels and boots are kept here. Flats have a spot in the clothing section of the closet.

I wish I could double its size, and have a good view of each pair! But yes, that's ridiculous - and there are more important things in life, I know!

I got rid of a lot of shoes, and I'm trying to accumulate less. This is my vice, and I'm trying to challenge myself to buy less! And when I do shop, I want to be more thoughtful - quality over quanity, you know.

I squeezed in a dresser in front of the window, where the best light is.

We've created a section for bags, and my favourites are the clutches.

This mannequin may just move out soon - but she adds some shop-appeal in the meantime.

Look out for the full reveal soon.
This has always been a dream for me. Dreams come true. Be inspired!
