Pants: Pure; Tops & Neckpiece: Mr Price; Shoes: Charles & Keith;
Bag: Zara; Watch: Michael Kors
Harem pants are so comfortable. In a world of pencil skirts and skinny jeans, it's absolute freedom! I layered with a bright top and played up the yellow in the pants with this dramatic neck piece. Add these clear heels that I searched for forever, and it's a fun look.
 Happy Weekend!

Street Chic

Dress & Bag: Mr Price; Shirt: Cotton On; Shoes: Edgars
Sunglasses: Ray Ban from Sunglass Hut; Neckpiece: Zuri

I threw on this oversized shirt at the last minute. I wanted to be chic in a dress and heels, but I wanted to be casual too, a la Julie of Sincerely, Jules. I love her edge. I'd never typically layer like this, but Julie always does it so well and I'm glad I gave it a shot.
Layering is a great way to transition pieces throughout the seasons. It's also a great way to get the most wear out of your clothing.

Awkward & Awesome Wednesday

Jeans: Topshop; Top & Neckpiece: Mr Price; Shoes: Zara
I need to stop with the crop. Obsessed.
Isaiah smelling my feet. Dude. That's a little too close!
This hair. Really. I think I'm going to cut one. last. time.
My 12-year-old niece loves these jeans.
In heels, nine to nine.
Returning things to a store, wearing your don't mess with me face when really, you're hoping inside.
Isaiah smelling his own feet. That wrinkled up nose is the cutest!
The house to-do list is getting shorter.
Walk-in closet design. I'm not a designer but yes, this I can do!
Easter eggs.
Clothing swap on the way!
My 12-year-old niece loves these jeans. Let me tell you, her style is awesome.
Thank you for coming by. What's been awkward & awesome on your end?

Thankful Tuesday: Isaiah turns One

Isaiah is one year old today.
My boy, we prayed for you long before you were born. We loved you then, and how we love you now! My heart is full. Of all the things we have, to have you is the greatest blessing.
I hope you conquer every mountain you will face. I pray that you will experience His grace. May your every heart's desire come to pass. But mostly, may you walk with Christ all your days, and be a man that bares great fruit. You are a world changer, of great honour. You are kind and wise. Oh boy, you are precious in His eyes.
Happy Birthday Isaiah.

The Thing About Dreams

Top: Meltz; Pants: Woolworths; Shoes: Zara
Bag: Mr Price; Sunglasses: YDE; Neckpiece: Zuri

You know, sometimes we dream up something and just forget about it. We forget about it because we think it's too big for us. I do that a lot, but when I get the courage to pursue a dream - doors open. Really. And it's God. It just requires some action from us, even if it means just saying your dreams out loud. That's faith. I know you come here for the pictures, and the fashion, but let me tell you - His plan, and His perfect timing, is undeniable. I've seen the fruit of His dedication to make my dreams come true so often. Don't brush off your dreams because you think it's impossible - that's the thing about dreams.

Have a great weekend!

[Do] Flatter Yourself

Top & Skirt: Xogo; Shoes: Melissa; Bag: Zara
Sunglasses: China Town; Earrings & Vest: Mr Price
I love this print and own a few similar pieces (because if something works, repeat it - ha!). I wore a dress in this fabric/print the other day. It's a great fabric so gives the right support, and the print itself also masks any lumps and bumps. I'll choose a patterned bodycon piece over a solid colour any day! I encourage women to know every inch of their body, even especially the dimples! That way, you'll learn how to dress to flatter your body.

Awkward & Awesome Wednesday

Dress: Henry Holland for Mr Price; Bag: Mr Price
Shoes: Gifted; Earrings: YDE
Weekends are reserved for watching paint dry. Literally.
Post breastfeeding breasts. I'll need to stock up on size 0. Sob.
This hair. Growing it through this terribly awkward stage is horrible.
Waking up to baby poo, all. over. your. arm.
...Yup. Isaiah still refuses to stay in his cot.
Finding out that the leftover food is off, after eating it.
Asking for a discount.
Seeing the results of the renovation.
Finding the dream sink, for my dream kitchen.
An errand I'm happy to check off my list this week: getting material for the walk-in-closet. Ok, I have to share it with Husband, but it'll do.
Chicken Licken. Missed this.
Make-up free days.
Looking around your parents' house picking out furniture. Ha!
Getting a discount.

A Good Buy

Dress: Topshop; Shoes: Mr Price; Bag: Zara
Sunglasses: China Town; Earrings: Gifted

I really like this dress. I got it on sale at Topshop nearly a year ago, and I look forward to wearing it a zillion times more. Black & white is such a classic combination; it makes it easy to take one piece into every season.
I want to get to a place where my wardrobe is filled with pieces that are versatile, and transitional. It's tough for a girl who is keen to try a trend, but I really believe that a good closet is one with classic, easy-to-match pieces. Here's hoping I am able to achieve that soon.

Thanks to my mom for these pictures; I think she's getting really good at this.
