Motherhood Monday

Dress: Pure; Shoes: Topshop; Coat: Burberry; Bag: Zara; Neckpiece: Legit

Thanks to Lerato for these Iphone pictures.

Isaiah turned 8 months old on Friday. How did that happen, really?!

Here're some things you may (or may not) like to know:

I don't know his exact weight, but he is really heavy. Really.

He wears size 6 - 12 months clothing.

He still likes banana, butternut and sweet potato purity.

He also likes cheese curls, and strawberries, and watermelon...

He claps, and now waves tata.

He hasn't started crawling, but looks like he wants to take the leap.

He has no teeth, but bites everything.

He loves sitting on the floor.

He enjoys his swing, and jumper - but often hesitates if you want to put him in his chair.

He is very stubborn. He grunts loudly and aggressively in protest.

He has discovered that he controls his nose now too, and makes a cute sniffing sound.

He is still breastfeeding, but takes formula during the day.

He responds to music by waving in the air.

He is the cutest little boy I know :)

Thanks for coming by!

Jeans & Shirt: Mr Price; Shoes: Melissa; Bag: Freebie; Sunglasses: Freebie; Watch: Gifted MK

Surprise surprise, a blog post. I didn't think I'd get to put up these pictures, but here I am. I love denim on denim, especially paired with nude. I matched my nudes, resulting in a two-tone look today. Pretty laid back and just pretty, I think. The pants version of this outfit.

Hopefully I'll wear something other than boyfriend jeans this weekend. A challenge I'm not eager to embrace ;)

Thanks to Lerato for these Iphone snapshots.

Happy Weekend!

I haven't blogged in ages, so I thought I'd do a quick post - albeit via mobile blogging.

I love a good shift dress, it has all the appeal, minus the obvious sexiness - so it's always appropriate.

This one is from Pure, and on this particular day I wore it to work with my Zara shoes and Sowearto bag (and Prada inspired sunnies from China Town).

Thank you for sticking around!

[Soil Child] Friday

Jeans & Bag: Mr Price; Tshirt: Soil Child; Shoes: Foschini; Beads: Petro Carls; Sunglasses: China Town; Watch: Gifted Michael Kors

When Soil Child sent me a few tshirts, I couldn't wait to wear them. I did wait, of course. For Soil Child Friday :)

I had seen a few of Lwazi's Soil Child tshirts, and loved it then. I'm a fan of local labels, and a lot of the tshirts are obviously proudly African, sporting the continent as a motif.

It's only when I heard more about the brand that I really fell in love. The name Soil Child speaks of you and I, as children of the soil. We belong. Our contribution to this world, big or small, is valuable and we are an important part of the world. While there are billions of people today, is hard to buy into this idea - but it's true. And so, we should be counted.

In a few other posts, I'll show you more of their stuff. In the meantime, check out their website. You can find Soil Child at a couple of stores around the country, or you could just shop online :)

Thank you to Lwazi for these pictures.

Happy Weekend!

Motherhood Monday

Dress: Mr Price; Shoes: Melissa; Bag: Foschini; Sunglasses & Earrings: YDE

My boy was sick on Friday. Like sick sick. It was a horrible feeling. Turned out to be gastro, and after he had the first dose of meds, he was back to normal within an hour. Kids are brave, and they have remarkable endurance. How do you go from vomiting and weak to the point where you cannot hold your head up, to laughing and banging on the table within an hour?! I love that kid. And I thank God that he's better now.

Thanks to Lerato for these Iphone snapshots.

By the way, I'm giving away stuff from my closet every day for a few days. Click on the tab, Let's Connect, to follow me via Instagram & Twitter for details!

Happy Monday!
