Maternity Wear

Dress & Earrings: Mr Price; Shoes: Zara; Bag: Sowearto

At the beginning of my pregnancy, aka style challenge, I promised myself that I won't buy any maternity clothes (with the exception of a pair of jeans, which I'm yet to find!) - I told myself I'd make it through the entire pregnancy in my normal clothes. Of course that didn't mean I wouldn't shop, I'm not disciplined enough not to shop. I just knew that I wanted to wear normal clothes, and maintain my usual style.

But. You knew that was coming, right? The more my clothes betrayed me, the more I became open to maternity shopping - so I bought this dress, from the maternity section at Mr Price. What I like is that this is not an obnoxious piece, as most maternity items often are (with frills, bows, and awkward lengths - as if you're the baby!) - in fact, the print is quite trendy. I would wear this dress after my pregnancy. I also bought maternity shorts, which has a stretch waistband and can be worn afterwards too.

Let's hope that makes up my maternity collection, and that I continue with normal wear.

Thanks to Lerato for these pictures.

Thanks for coming by!

  1. "As if you're the baby" ahahahahahah! LOVE your shoes! I've always said that Mr Price makes the best "I'm gonna be a mommy" clothes. They make better maternity clothes that are better than the sclothes they make for fat people, I would know.

    You look good!

  3. You don't look pregnant on the first photo. You're still very thin. Lucky you. You look great by the way. :)
