How to Wear: cowboy shirt

I came across this post just now, showing another chic way of wearing what my husband has phrased "the cowboy shirt" I bought the other day. Maybe when the weather warms up a little I'll try it.

p.s. this is a very cute blog and funny too!

Have a super weekend,

Something New: Denim Shirt

I've been secretly craving a denim shirt for a while now and have finally found the one.

I can't wait to wear it a number of ways - particular quirky! This next image from Cupcakes and Cashmere shows just how pretty this shirt can be:

Until next time,
thanks for checking in!

What I miss most, about warmer days.

Today's the first time, in a long time, that I left home a.) without a jacket and b.) with a light shirt.

Yup, it's been warmer lately and I hope there are no cold surprises to come. Although... there's still so much I'd like to wear on cold days. Never mind that, let's reserve what I'd like to wear for show and tell.

The warm weather has me chirpy and excited about Spring/Summer and all the fun that comes with it. Here's what I look forward to on those lovely days:

Pretty Sandals!

Summery Dresses!

Chocolate icecream on a sugar cone!

Fresh, summery home decor! Although I haven't turned on the winter switch in my colourful space.

And lotsa other things. But this is what I crave most.

Have a super [sun shiny] weekend!

Fun Friday

Shirt: Meltz
Pants: Vigoss
Shoes: China Town
Belt: Paired with skirt from YDE
Bag: YDE
Glasses: Husbands
Necklaces (from top): China Town; Gifted; Aldo
Bracelet: YDE
Earrings: Flee market, but I recently saw them at Sowearto

I guess this outfit was inspired by my curiousity of the trends (colour blocking, which I haven't quite mastered with this outfit; and the turban, which only happened an hour or two ago).

Last night I took out this pants, with the hope of pairing it with a purple top or so, but I failed. Or maybe, I succeeded but the look didn't quite work for me. So I grapped this purple clutch instead.

The turban is actually a scarf I had around my neck earlier. It somehow worked it's way to the top. I checked out this video for advice on how to tie it.

I also mixed prints (scarf, shirt and earrings), a trend that has become somewhat normal.

For the sake of balance, my nails are neutral.

Does this look work?!

The Bag(s) of my Dreams!

Last night I dreamed that I found two gorgeous vintage box bags in an antique shop. One was black and the other, tan. It was so real I could almost smell the leather, and feel the texture that had come with age. I was very disappointed when I woke up this morning!

I've subsequently searched the web to illustrate to you (almost) exactly what it looked like, and officially add it to my wish list (excuse the obvious pun!):

It would be an added bonus it I have it in Chanel!

Because google always also gives you what you didn't ask for, I came across these lovelies too:

I've already had a briefcase-style bag in mind, and have been secretly looking for one while out and about. So now, it's official - I'm looking.

Thanks for reading!

The never fail 'work' Outfit

Shirt: Identity
Pencil Skirt: Fashion Express
Shoes: China Town (ouch!)
Necklace: Gifted

The go-to outfit when you don't know what to wear for me is the pencil skirt and shirt. It looks like you put some effort into your look when you really didn't. I came across a great blog, with practical tips and here you'll learn that it helps to create a 'uniform' for work.

My work day started rough, when I burned my ear with the flat iron this morning - in a rush to get out of the door. It ended with these China Town shoes hurting my big toe! Going to have to put some foot pads in them. How many times do I have to say 'self, invest in quality shoes'!

There are ample ways to wear a pencil skirt: frilly blouse, vest, t-shirt, jacket, whatever! See some of its ways:

Thanks for checking in, have a super Wednesday evening!
p.s. I'm so tempted to blog more often now, because this blog has helped me pull together a decent look each day!!!
